Peruvian agro-exports, including traditional and non-traditional products, saw a 6% increase in 2020 compared to 2019, totaling $7,487,583,000 and reaching 140 markets. The US and the Netherlands were the leading buyers, accounting for 50.4% of the total. The Agrarian Promotion Law (No. 27360) contributed to creating formal employment and reducing poverty, but the new Law of the Agrarian Labor Regime and Incentives for the Agricultural and Irrigation, Agro-exporter and Agroindustrial Sector (Ný 31110) could undo these advances. Traditional agriculture exports, primarily coffee, saw a 6.3% decrease, while agricultural-agro-industrial subsector exports, including grapes and blueberries, grew by 7%.
