Peruvian artichoke exports present a higher volume in 2025, despite tighter prices. This combination poses a challenge for the profitability of major exporters, especially in markets like the United States and Europe. Between January and October 2025, Peru sent 38,855 tons of the vegetable for $104.5 million, which represented a +7% increase in volume and +2% in value compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by Fresh Fruit. However, the price dropped from $2.86/kg to $2.75/kg (-4%). Regarding the presentations offered by Peru, canned artichoke remains the main export modality, with 95% participation between January and October 2025 ($98.8 million).
