(Agraria.pe) The Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PromPerú) is driving the strategy for positioning the Peruvian agro-export offer in Asia. In this context, the Republic of Korea is consolidating itself as a strategic platform for the commercialization and projection of Peruvian products towards other markets in the region, marking a milestone in the way Peru is inserting itself into Asian markets. For the first time in the history of Peruvian exports, Mongolia receives Peruvian avocados through a re-export scheme based in Seoul. The entry is in the form of puree, also known as guacamole, aimed at the HORECA channel (hotels, restaurants, and cafes) and used by the KFC chain in Mongolia. The operation is carried out through BKMG, an operator in the Mongolian market, who is supplied by Latida in alliance with Westfalia, companies linked to the export and international commercialization of agro-industrial products.
