Peruvian broad bean exports grew 44% in volume in August

In August 2024, Peru experienced a significant surge in broad bean exports, with a 44% increase compared to the same month in the previous year, totaling 303 tons. These beans were distributed to eight countries, with Spain and Israel being the main recipients, receiving 28% and 20% of the shipments, respectively. Notable exporters included Andes Alimentos y Bebidas S.A.C. and Afi Impex Perú S.A.C., which accounted for 31% and 20% of the exports, respectively. There were 14 active buyers during this period.
