Peru is seeking to improve the yield and productivity of its coffee production by focusing on increasing production levels and efficiency in crop management. The country aims to generate higher income for coffee-growing families and increase the value of its coffee exports by transforming the industry to include processed products with higher profit margins. The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) is leading the efforts, along with other sectors, through the National Action Plan for Peruvian Coffee 2018-2030, which focuses on producer associations, competitiveness, productivity, and access to markets.
