Peruvian conventional wine exports totaled $895,675 between January and August

Of the total shipments of spirits to the world, such as pisco, rum, wine and other spirits, conventional wine represented 8%; however, it has great potential to grow and diversify, including heritage wines in the future. This was reported by the president of the Pisco Committee of the Association of Exporters (ADEX), Carmen Robatty de Moquillaza, who highlighted that heritage wines have the particularity of being made from pisco grapes, that is, with varieties such as Quebranta, Negra criolla, Mollar and Uvina in the non-aromatic ones, and Torontel, Italia, Moscatel and Albilla; while the conventional one uses noble grapes such as Tanat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, among others.
