Between January and May of 2022, Peru experienced a moderate increase in maca flour exports, reaching 1,124,447 kilos with a value of US$ 11,390,734, an increase from the 938,341 kilos exported in the same period of 2021. The United States was the primary destination for these exports, receiving 31% of the total shipments, followed by Hong Kong, the Netherlands, South Korea, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and others. Peruvian Nature SA emerged as the leading exporter of maca flour, with sales amounting to US$ 1.7 million (15% of the country's total) during this period.
