In 2020, Peru experienced a significant increase in the export of olluco, a traditional Peruvian potato variety. According to Agrodata Peru, from January to October 2020, the country exported 383,660 kilos of olluco, a rise of 165% compared to the same period in 2019 when 144,395 kilos were exported. The value of these exports also surged, with a FOB value of US $ 46,595, a notable increase from the US $ 15,870 in 2019. The average price per kilo also saw a substantial rise, from US $ 1.32 in 2019 to US $ 4.66 in 2020. Chile was the primary importer of Peruvian olluco in 2020.
