Peruvian exports of fruits and vegetables totaled US$ 3,622 million between January and September

(Agraria.pe) In the January-September period of this year, Peruvian agro-exports totaled more than US$6.6 billion, driven by shipments of fruits and vegetables in the main international markets, as reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation ( Midagri). He detailed that in the first nine months of 2023, agricultural shipments (traditional) amounted to US$527 million; while agricultural and/or agroindustrial shipments (non-traditional) reached US$6,073 million, a figure 0.4% lower than what was observed in the same period during 2022. The main products of the agro-export ranking were: avocados US$ 953 million (16% share); fresh grapes, US$689 million (11%); fresh cranberries, US$607 million (10%); fresh or chilled asparagus, US$251 million (4.1%); and fresh mangoes, US$ 208 million (3.4%).
