In September 2024, Peru's fresh asparagus exports reached 10,275 tons valued at US$ 43 million, marking a recovery from the previous month's downturn. While the export volume remained consistent with the previous year, the value saw a 6% increase due to a price rise from US$ 3.97 to US$ 4.22 per kilogram. The United States was the primary market, accounting for 68% of exports, with a 6% drop in volume but a 6% rise in value, driven by a 12% price increase. Spain and the United Kingdom followed as major importers. The main export route was through Jorge Chávez International Airport, with leading exporters including Agroexportaciones Nathanael S.A.C., Danper Trujillo S.A.C., and TA Export S.A.C.
