From January to August 2021, Argentina's fruit imports totaled US $252 million, marking a 17% increase compared to the previous year. Peru emerged as the sixth most significant supplier, contributing 3% to the total imports with US $ 8 million, which is a 66% increase from the previous year. The primary product imported from Peru was avocado, which constituted 94% of the imports, amounting to US $29 million, a 31% increase year-on-year. Besides avocados, Argentina also imported mandarins and blueberries from Peru.
