The Association of Agricultural Producers Guilds of Peru (AGAP) is strategizing to find new markets for Peruvian agro-exports due to increased sea freight costs to China and entry difficulties into Eastern European markets, particularly due to the Ukraine war. With Senasa's support, they are working on phytosanitary adaptations to access other countries. Notably, mangoes are being adapted for Argentina, Iran, Malaysia, Morocco, South Africa, and Taiwan, and blueberries are being adapted for South Africa, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Israel. Other products like Hass avocado, grapes, asparagus, citrus, ginger, and pitahaya are also being processed for new markets.
