Between January and August of 2025, the export of nougat — whose demand is closely linked to the liturgies of the Lord of Miracles — totaled $243,900, representing a growth of 20.2% compared to the same period in 2024 ($203,000), reported the Association of Exporters (ADEX). In the ranking of 13 destinations, the United States remains the main market with $141,700, concentrating 58% of the total and registering an increase of 11%. Along with Italy ($29,700), Chile ($27,100), and the Netherlands ($26,200), they concentrated 92% of the total exported. Other destinations were Canada, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Aruba, and Japan. Italy, the Netherlands, and Chile stood out for their notable performance, with growths of 111%, 84%, and 50%, respectively.
