In September 2024, Peruvian orange exports saw a 27% decrease in volume but a 33% increase in value compared to the same month in 2023. The Netherlands was the primary importer, receiving 81% of the total exports, with the average price per kilogram increasing by 82% to $1.45. The United States and the Dominican Republic also reported significant increases in imports. The exports were primarily fresh oranges, with a small percentage being exported as orange juice or frozen. Agromar Industrial S.A., Selva Industrial S.A., and Marzala Export S.A.C. were the leading Peruvian exporters, and the majority of the exports were distributed from Peru through Callao, with APM Terminals and DP World handling equal shares of the shipping logistics.
