Peruvian organic quinoa gains direct access to the European Union from 2025

From 2025, Peruvian organic quinoa will be able to enter the European Union without additional controls, reported the Association of Exporters (Adex). The measure, which eliminates the restrictions implemented since 2015 due to the presence of pesticide residues, represents a significant boost for producers and exporters of the Andean grain. DIRECT BENEFIT FOR FARMERS AND EXPORTERS Diego Llosa Velásquez, Export Manager of Adex, highlighted that this decision is the result of meetings and negotiations between the exporting association and the Peruvian authorities. “Now we see the good results, since this exclusion will directly benefit national farmers, facilitating exports,” said Llosa.
