In July 2024, Peruvian pineapple exports saw a significant increase compared to the previous year, with a total of 630 tons exported, resulting in revenues of US$ 3.46 million, which is a 59.4% increase in volume and 85.8% increase in value from July 2023. The average price per kilogram also rose by 16.6% to US$ 5.49. The export distribution was doubled, reaching ten countries, with the United States being the primary importer (85.7%). The United States imported 441 tons at an average price of US$ 6.72 per kilogram, while Canada and France ranked second and third with 149 tons and 59 tons respectively. Dehydrated pineapple was the preferred presentation, accounting for 68.0% of shipments. The largest Peruvian exporters were Greenbox S.A.C., Procesadora Perú S.A.C., and Procesadora Laran S.A.C., and the terminals with the highest share of pineapple shipments were APM Terminals, Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos, and DP World.
