In August 2024, Peruvian pineapple exports saw a decrease of 22.4% in volume but an increase of 0.7% in value compared to the same month in the previous year, totaling 427 tons and US$ 2.2 million. The average price per kilogram grew by 29.7% to US$ 5.1. The exports were distributed to eight countries, with the United States making up 72.5% of the total, Canada 19.8%, and Chile 4.9%. Dehydrated pineapple was the preferred presentation, accounting for 65.5% of shipments. The largest exporters were Greenbox S.A.C., Procesadora Perú S.A.C., and Agro Frost S.A.C., and the terminals with the highest share of pineapple shipments were APM Terminals, DP World, and Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos.
