The Virtual Food Expo 2021 saw 10 Chinese buyers participating on the B2Perú platform, with a focus on sourcing Peruvian superfoods such as coffee, avocado, quinoa, blueberries, and fresh fruits. This event, supported by Peru's foreign trade offices in Shanghai and Beijing, marked a significant increase in food exports to China, with figures from January to August reaching $361,624,000, a 114% increase compared to the same period in 2020. Notably, demand for Peruvian coffee has surged, increasing by 337.4% in the first eight months of 2021. This business round is aimed at boosting the export of these food products to China and highlights the quality of Peru's food offerings.
