Philippines open market for bone-in and variety meats from Brazil

Brazil will be able to export bone-in beef and bovine offal to the Philippines, according to a joint statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Philippine government's approval was received by the Brazilian government on Wednesday, 13, after the countries concluded negotiations on the sanitary requirements for the export of the protein and agreed on the international sanitary certificate (CSI). The country exported more than US$1.5 billion in agricultural products to the Philippines in 2024, with a focus on meats, cereals, flours, and sugar-alcohol complex products. "With more than 118 million inhabitants and growing consumption of animal protein, the Philippines is a strategic market for the national agribusiness.
