Philippines' pork and chicken imports expected to rise this year

According to the Philippine Business World on July 25, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) expects the Philippines' pork imports to reach 500,000 tons in 2024, higher than the earlier estimate of 445,000 tons. According to data from the Philippine Department of Agriculture's Animal Husbandry Bureau, as of the end of May this year, Philippine pork imports increased by 10.6% year-on-year to 254,000 tons.
