The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Thailand, along with the Department of Livestock Development, has initiated a operation to ban red meat accelerators in livestock farming. This move has been applauded by the Northern Swine Raisers Association and pig farmers for its efforts in enforcing laws, improving food safety, and ensuring sustainable quality of life for consumers. The Department has also introduced the 'Livestock OK' symbol to signify meat sales locations that meet hygiene and food safety standards. The operation is designed to protect the public from harmful substances like clenbuterol and salbutamol, which despite cooking, cannot be eliminated from pork and can negatively impact consumer health.
