A pilot study by Fisheries Innovation & Sustainability (FIS) and Seafood Scotland has found that a 'digital one stop' approach can improve data sharing in the seafood industry. The study, which focused on haddock and nephrops (langoustines), found that businesses often do not understand the information required by other supply chain members. The project used secure cloud-based databases to allow fishing and processing businesses to upload and share information. A toolkit has been developed to support future data sharing projects.
