Following the new outbreak of pine wilt disease in Suwon, local government and forestry-related agencies have launched a detailed inspection to prevent further infection. Five agencies, including the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute, Suwon National Forest Management Office, Gyeonggi Provincial Forest Environment Research Institute, Suwon City, and Yongin City, recently conducted a joint detailed inspection in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, where the pine wilt disease has newly emerged. This detailed inspection was conducted within a radius of 5 km from the area where infected trees were confirmed, focusing on major pine forests and areas with a high concentration of ornamental trees. The inspection results showed that no additional cases of infection were found within the area.
