Indian pineapple exports saw a significant increase, reaching $3.26 million from April-December 2021, more than doubling compared to the same period in 2013 when they brought in $1.63 million. The UAE, Nepal, Qatar, the Maldives, and the United States were the top destinations for these exports, accounting for nearly 85% of the total. India, being the fifth largest pineapple producer globally with an annual output of approximately 1.2 million tons, sources from states like Assam, Meghalaya, and Kerala, among others.
