In the second quarter of 2024, Peru experienced a significant boost in pineapple exports, with a total of 1,999 tons valued at US$ 5.2 million, marking a 218% increase in volume and a 103% increase in value compared to the same period in the previous year. The United States was the primary market, accounting for 90.9% of the exports, followed by Chile and France. Canned pineapple was the dominant form of export, making up 68.1% of the total. Leading the export efforts were companies such as Procesadora Laran S. A.C., Agrícola Los Medanos S.A., Gandules Inc. S.A.C., Greenbox S.A.C., and Unión de Negocios Corporativos S.A.C.
