The peanut harvest in Manavgat, Antalya, is in full swing, with producers expecting to reap 10-12 thousand tons from 25 thousand acres. However, they are grappling with a significant decrease in product prices. Peanuts, which were sold at 45 liras per kilogram last year, have been reduced to 25 liras this year. The situation is similarly dire for pistachio and olive producers. The cost of pistachios has surged by at least 50 percent, yet the selling price has dropped to 25-28 liras. Olives and olive oil, which were previously sold at 40-45 liras and up to 300 liras respectively, are now fetching 20-25 liras and 160-180 liras respectively.
