Iran: Pistachio is no longer the top non-oil export commodity

In the last Iranian year ending in March 2022, Iran's agricultural exports reached a value of $915 million, which represented half of the country's horticultural exports' value during the same period, according to Daryoush Salempour, an official from the Agriculture Ministry. Pistachio orchards, which make up 20% of Iran's total orchards, are the primary contributor to these exports and are located in several provinces across the country.
