The Formulating Unit of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Piura has started the installation of 29 photovoltaic panels to optimize the use of groundwater from the Alto Piura and improve the irrigation of 2261.5 hectares of agricultural land in the province of Morropón. The intervention is being executed in 29 tubular wells with water licenses granted by the National Water Authority (ANA), previously verified by the Directorate of Statistics of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture in the districts of Chulucanas, Morropón, La Matanza, Buenos Aires, and Salitral, as well as in the populated centers of Yapatera, La Encantada, Paccha, Laynas, Batanes, and Malacasí.
