Plan for hemp production chain in Brazil is launched

Embrapa and the Ficus Institute launched this Wednesday (10), in Brasília, the report "Regulatory Pathways for Hemp in Brazil". The document, prepared by a working group linked to the Council for Sustainable Economic Development of the Presidency of the Republic (CDESS), presents a comprehensive diagnosis and a strategic action plan to structure the hemp production chain in the country. The document was launched during the seminar "Regulatory Pathways for Hemp in Brazil", held in the Biomas auditorium, at the Embrapa headquarters, in Brasília. The event featured presentations by experts who detailed the main points of the report and presented experiences on the regulation, cultivation, research, and use of hemp and cannabis in Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
