Thai instant noodles have seen a significant increase in popularity in South Korea, with exports valued at US$1.92 million, a 57.1% increase from the previous year. The growth is due to the unique flavors and diverse selection of Thai instant noodles, particularly those with spicy flavors like tom yum, pad Thai, and crab curry. This trend is expected to continue as Thai cuisine becomes more popular worldwide and the consumption of ready-to-eat food products grows in Asia and other regions. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed pleasure at the export figures and the potential for Thai products to increase their value through the soft power of the Thai food industry.
