Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin concluded his three-day tour of Northeast Thailand's key provinces, vowing to boost the region's agricultural sector. He highlighted the need to promote high-value products like organic rice and premium beef from Surin, especially the 'Surin-gyu' cattle breed. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of modernizing slaughterhouses to meet international standards and addressing the challenges of high rice yields not leading to improved livelihoods. During his visit, he discussed various issues with local leaders and officials, including water shortage solutions in Roi Et, drug rehabilitation plans in Si Sa Ket, and price checks in Ubon Ratchathani, intending to stimulate the regional economy and ensure sustainable development.
