Poland presents the largest collection of strawberry varieties in the world

The world's largest collection of strawberry varieties in commercial production was established in Hornigi, near Warka, on the farm of Magdalena and Mateusz Włodarczyk, Poland. It is a plantation of almost 2 hectares on raised terraces, with 40 varieties of strawberries planted. Most of them will soon bear fruit. The Truskawkowe Inspiracje project will host a meeting on July 6 where visitors will be able to see, taste and evaluate the strawberries. "We wanted to choose the varieties that best suited our growing technology and climate. The project carried out together with the Jagodnik website and magazine was an ideal opportunity for this," said Mateusz Włodarczyk, farm owner in Hornigi. "In addition, thanks to close collaboration with partners in this project, we are constantly improving strawberry production technology," he added.
