EU: Polish vegetable growers assess damage from Storm Boris

Following the devastating effects of Storm Boris across Europe, the European Commission proposed to allocate €119.7 million from the agricultural reserve to directly support affected farmers in Bulgaria, Germany, Estonia, Italy and Romania. Poland is assessing the extent of the destruction, previously, producers of tomatoes, peppers and potatoes suffered significant damage here. This is reported by Fruitnet. It is noted that the European Commission offered 10.9 million euros for Bulgaria, 46.5 million euros for Germany, 3.3 million euros for Estonia, 37.4 million euros for Italy and 21.6 million euros for Romania to compensate farmers who lost part of its production.
