In 2024, Turkey's pomegranate exports have surged by 32%, increasing from $75 million to $100 million between January and October, with projections to reach $150 million by year-end. As one of the top five global producers, Turkey produces 700,000 tons annually and ranks in the top 10 for exports. Efforts by the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association to enhance quality and minimize pesticide residues have bolstered export growth. Pomegranates are exported to 61 countries, with the Russian Federation, Iraq, and Germany as leading importers, valued for their health benefits and diverse uses in fresh, juice, and medicinal forms.
