Argentina has approved four slaughterhouses, including Alimentaria la Pompeya, Paladini, Piamontesa, and Quálitas, to export pork to Uruguay without a visit from the Uruguayan health service. This move is part of a recently signed agreement that allows the export of chilled and boneless pork pulp to Uruguay, estimated to be worth USD 2,500 per ton. The authorization of this destination for Argentine meat comes after floods in Brazil have prevented the country from fulfilling its commercial obligations.
