Brazil: Pork exports drop in 4th week of August compared to previous year

According to information released this Monday (26) by the Federal Government's Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), exports of fresh, chilled or frozen pork showed lower results in the fourth week of August, compared to the same period in 2023. Up to the fourth week of August 2024 (considering 17 business days), Brazil collected US$ 176,579,138 from pork exports, which corresponds to 74.27% of the total registered in August 2023, which was US$ 237,734,426. The volume shipped to date was 72,650.744 tons, representing 72.69% of the total exported in August last year, which reached 99,936.852 tons. The average daily revenue so far is US$ 10,387,008, which represents an increase of 0.5% compared to the same month in 2023.
