In the first two months of 2023, Ukraine experienced a significant decrease in pork imports, with a total of 2.7 thousand tons, a 4.6-fold reduction compared to the same period in the previous year. The monetary value of these imports also saw a 4.2-time decrease, amounting to $5.3 million. The primary countries from which Ukraine imported pork included Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium, accounting for 39.8%, 30.5%, and 11.5% of the imports, respectively. Additionally, the price of pig carcasses fell to UAH 73.05/kg.
