Pork has lost its position as the second most affordable type of meat, falling behind chicken and turkey. Despite a recent decrease in prices for pig carcasses, pork is now the third most expensive meat. The "Swinemakers of Ukraine" association attributes this to the high loyalty of the population to traditional meat but suggests that financial challenges may lead people to reconsider their consumer habits and eating behaviors. Pork production is expected to reach 625,000 tons this year.
