The Russian agricultural sector is projected to see a 14% increase in pork production by 2025, equivalent to an additional 755 thousand tons, according to Yuri Kovalev, Director General of the National Union of Pig Breeders. This growth is expected to accelerate to 8% in 2023, 5% in 2024, and 1% in 2025, peaking at a total production of 6.035 million tons in 2025. Kovalev anticipates that the commissioning of new pig farms, funded by investments made in 2018, will cease by this time. He also forecasts that the top 20 enterprises will contribute over 80% of the total pork production in the next three years.
