Potato prices have changed dramatically in Ukraine

Potatoes have become cheaper in Ukraine, and now producers are selling them for 18-28 UAH per kg, which is an average of 12% cheaper than at the end of last week. This is reported by EastFruit. The reason for the drop in prices is a significant decrease in demand. Contrary to farmers' expectations that the products will once again increase in price on the eve of the New Year holidays, selling prices for potatoes in Ukraine, on the contrary, have begun to decline. Wholesale companies see no reason to raise prices and increase the volume of purchases of this product, since the demand for this product has noticeably decreased. The decrease in price was influenced by stable supplies from foreign markets. The situation is complicated by the low quality of imported products.
