The potential for exporting Vietnamese tuna to Poland

Poland is considered a potential market for Vietnamese tuna, especially after the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EU (EVFTA) took effect, Vietnamese tuna products enjoy many tariff incentives. According to Ms. Nguyen Ha, expert about tuna market of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), after a period of high growth at 3 digits, Vietnam's tuna exports to Poland decreased in September 2023. The value of tuna export to this market is only half of the same period last year, and 1/6 of the previous month. However, thanks to the high growth in previous months, cumulative tuna export to Poland in the first 9 months of year still increased by 125% over the same period in 2022, reaching more than US$ 4 million.
