In the year 2024, Brazil solidified its position as a leading global poultry farmer and exporter, producing around 15 million tons of chicken meat, marking it as the second largest producer worldwide. Out of this production, 5.25 million tons were exported, making Brazil the largest chicken meat exporter. Paraná state played a significant role in this production and export achievement, contributing to 39.47% of the national production and 41.7% of the total exports. The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) celebrated the industry's successes and expansion into new markets, emphasizing the importance of innovation and the industry's resilience despite challenges. The maintenance of Brazil's sanitary status, unfilled with avian influenza, is a key factor in its competitive edge. Paraná's poultry industry remains dedicated to innovation and quality, aiming to continue its leadership in 2025 by preserving its health status and advancing in the global poultry market.
