Brazil: Poultry farming in Paraná consolidates its leadership in the global market

The year 2024 was marked by the reaffirmation of the strength of Brazilian poultry farming on the global stage, with figures that consolidate Brazil as one of the largest producers and exporters of chicken meat in the world. According to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), the country produced approximately 15 million tons of chicken meat, maintaining its position as the second largest producer in the world. Of this total, 5.25 million tons were destined for the foreign market, consolidating Brazil as the largest global exporter of this protein. Paraná, one of the main hubs of national poultry farming, played a crucial role in the production and export of chicken meat. The state was responsible for 39.47% of national production, equivalent to 5.9 million tons.
