In May, Brazilian exports of poultry genetics, including day-old chicks and fertile eggs, rose by 10.9% to 2,650 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2023, though revenue decreased by 10.6% to US$ 18.934 million. Over the first five months of the year, exports increased by 2.2% to 12,855 thousand tons, but revenue dropped by 12.8% to US$ 98.587 million. Despite a 40.6% reduction in imports from Mexico, the country remains the main destination, while South Africa and Senegal have shown significant increases. The president of ABPA credits Brazil's strong export performance to its reputation as a reliable supplier, particularly in markets impacted by Avian Influenza.
