Tajikistan has seen a significant increase in its poultry meat and egg production between January and October 2020, with a 90% rise in poultry meat and a 33% rise in egg production compared to the previous year. This increase in self-sufficiency has been supported by the government, leading to higher prices due to high feed costs. Despite the potential for exports, a government ban on exporting these products remains in place. However, local farms have seen improvements in efficiency, with one farm increasing its egg-laying capacity significantly.
