PP 28 Tahun 2025 Promotes Transformation of Plant Variety Licensing Governance

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Government Regulation (PP) Number 28 of 2025 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing is considered an important new regulation to be applied in building public services for the release of varieties. Head of the PVTPP Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Leli Nuryati said this new policy also drives the transformation of licensing governance in the field of plant varieties, which was previously manual and partial, to become integrated, transparent, and accountable. This system provides ease for business actors, while also strengthening the government's supervisory and guidance functions over the implementation of risk-based licensing.
