A new mango fruit processing factory in Yumbe district, North-Western Uganda, has been commissioned by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The factory, which is capable of processing 5-mt/hr, is expected to employ 200 direct and over 1500 indirect workers when in full operation, starting from May 2021. Museveni praised the people of West Nile for supporting the National revolution and emphasized the importance of focusing on people's needs rather than identity. He also promised more development in the region, including construction of new roads, provision of electricity, water, education, and health facilities.
