Price of Peruvian onions is rising on the international market

Peru exported $75,266,987 worth of onions between January and October this year. That is 0.54% more than in the same period last year. However, in terms of volumes, 13.1% was lost. A total of 186,648,998 kilos of onions were sent abroad, reports Agrodata Peru news service. With an average of $0.40, the price was $0.05 higher than last year. The United States provided 46% of Peru's onion export revenues ($49,146,694; 105,434,813 kilos), followed by Spain with a 19% share ($14,547,912; 27,972,224 kilos) and Colombia with a share of 11% ($8,423,371; 37,415,911 kilos).
