The Mercosur Steer Index, which monitors the average steer price in the Mercosur region, reported a decrease in the last week, with the average price of steer dropping to US$3.09 per kilo carcass, marking a 2 cent decline. Brazil witnessed a more pronounced fall of 4 cents to US$2.76 per kg for meat, attributed to the real's depreciation against the dollar. Notably, prices in Campo Grande and Mato Grosso fell to US$2.80 and US$2.73, respectively. Meanwhile, Uruguay's special steer price remained unchanged at US$3.68, Argentina recorded a minor increase to US$3.73, and Paraguay saw a 10 cent reduction to US$3.10.
