Consumer prices in July saw an average increase of 0.5% from the previous month, with an annual inflation rate of 5.3%, down from 5.8% in June. The core inflation rate, which excludes alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and other specific items, was 3.5%, a decrease from 3.8% in June. Over the first seven months of the year, all household consumer prices increased by 4.2%, and for retired households, it was 3.9%. Notably, food prices rose by 3.1%, with significant increases in cooking oil and poultry meat, while alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and vehicle fuel experienced the highest year-over-year price increases at 11.1%, 18.1%, and 19.8%, respectively.
