The runaway natural gas prices have affected many people unpleasantly in Hungary in recent years. After the regime change, clay stoves and mixed fuel boilers in domestic villages were pushed into the background, and they were replaced by more comfortable gas heating systems. However, the good times did not last forever, and partly due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, energy prices have skyrocketed.
